Blue Dragon Saves Japan

I’ve been calling Blue Dragon Xbox 360’s savior in Japan for a long time. It was released last night and it appears that strong sales have occured.

Final Fantasy’s Creator Hironobu Sakaguchi is the creator and lead for Blue Dragon. The Xbox 360 bundle for Blue Dragon sold out everywhere totaling about 100,000 Units that would be sold in Japan of the Xbox 360 this holiday season. If the lines are any indication Blue Dragon appears to be a sucess. I can’t wait to hear the numbers on it and the Xbox 360 sales for this week because they will have most likely over 2,000% increase in weekly sales at least.

Famitsu has had this game in its top 5 for a long time and the game appeals to all ages in Japan. Japan has more hit releases in Lost Planet and Lost Oddysey next year. Hopefully this fuels enough success for a decent end of the year in Japan and it can hold the Japan gamers until Lost Oddysey next year or other titles hold them. The Xbox 360 is becoming a success in Japan though.

Blue Dragon is epic in size of content. It takes up 3 discs! 3! Also below are pictures of lines of Japanese gamers hoping to secure a Blue Dragon bundle. Japan is ready to play Xbox 360. Pictures of lines and the discs below.

I cannot believe Xbox 360 will most likely outsell PS3 next week. The sky is falling.
