The fellows over at Planet Gears of War, have discovered a few text messages sent from one “domsantiago” that suggest some new downloadable content will emerge for Gears on Christmas Eve.

Below are a few of the text messages sent

-Beware the locusts. They will come from the ground……stay tuned for alerts!
-Today we stand proud amongst the ruins of Sera, beware chosen one for Raam is watching you
-The time is almost here. We fight in your domain. 24.12.06. Be prepared
-Inhabitants of Sera, we shall complete your annihilation on the above domain. Come and prepare for your final destruction!

The guys over at Team Xbox dove a little deeper to find some more interesting tidbits.

I’m hoping for some new multiplayer maps and maybe throw in another single player Act just for the hell of it. There’s no word as to whether it is going to be free or not though so keep your fingers crossed.
