Yes these are dubious words, but if you have any experience of using Xbox Live you’d know that he’s right in every way. Of course times have changed where many feel that playing against that lame-o computer is a thing of the past, but what about those that feel that paying for a on-line service on top of there already existing ISP bill isn’t worth it.
Try as I or you might to convince people that Xbox Live is completely worth it, in the long run most just don’t have a clue as to what playing on-line is much less whether or not they need it. The nature of console gaming is to play by yourself. Like it or not being a Xbox gamer, much more than the majority of us have yet to move on from what was once the only option.
The hordes of people out there who have bought an original Xbox and/or a 360 who have yet to experience Live don’t know what they are missing, which in turn causes the Xbox platform to look not much different from the competition. Then again I myself couldn’t imagine calling anything Xbox with the Live functionality not present.
After what Bill Gates has said, how many readers of this blog have a Xbox/360 and not Xbox Live to go along with it? If you don’t have a Xbox Live subscription and have the means, then why not?
