Preorders on Crackdown are pretty high as indicated by Microsoft because of the Halo 3 beta codes being guarnteed to all who preorder. Well guess what, everyone copy of Crackdown has a Halo 3 beta code on the disc no matter when you buy it. If you buy it April 15, you get into the beta. If you buy it March 1 you get into the beta. Anyone who buys Crackdown gets into the beta. The beta is open to everyone as long as you buy Crackdown. I love me some Crackdown. The beta code is just fluff that I’ll toy with. Nice to know that ALL Crackdown discs will have the beta code though. Takes a lot of pressure off my shoulders to pre-order. I’ll still pre-order, but I don’t feel so pressed to do so now. Thanks for the heads up.

I feel the same as you too, I plan on getting Crackdown, I might not but I want to and when the Halo was announced I thought it was like an extra gift but and it is free
. I want to play Halo 3 before it comes out! Hopefully the demo allows more than one player on a console. But the beta does take some excitement out of the games launch if you can play the beta whenever you want all the time.
