Dean Takahashi of the Mercury News has long been associated with Xbox information leaks, but this time his leak has mysteriously disappeared from these here “Internets”. Surely to be another casualty of the often used cease and desist letter, TeamXbox spread the news likewise. Miraculously the TeamXbox article has disappeared as well. As much as Microsoft wants to keep the surprise the cats been let out of the bag. Add this to the HDMI port leaks if this indeed is to be formally announced at CES. Just one thing hasn’t been leaked yet though. If true, how is all of this going to affect us early adopters?

It won’t affect us early adopters at all, as the new features are useless to the majority of consumers (HDMI, IPTV) or will be sold separately (HDD). I’m bedding my fictional money on a third SKU.

Hopefully what ever added features come to the 360, it’ll be one that can be done on the already existing machine. If there’s a feature I can’t get without buying a new machine, I’ll be pissed. Than again all of these supposed new features can be done with Windows Media Center already, but who wants to add a PC to there setup if you don’t have to.

I think all of this speculation lately over every little thing is due to the machine’s messing with us. If you get the joke then whats taking Morpheus so long to jack us out of here? I’m getting tired of yelling OPERATOR at all times of the day.
