The Idol Master was released today in Japan and from what this image shows, it’s getting alot of backing. Published by Namco, this could be the next big release for the Xbox 360 in Japan. After the shock of Gears of War making the Japanese top ten, it looks like the 360 isn’t quite a doomed as many would have thought. In The Idol Master you’ll take the role of a music producer looking to create the next teen idol in a simulation/strategy game. There’s no use of tentacles in anyway as far as I can tell, but I can’t say I’ve figured out Japan yet. If we have any readers in Japan, let us know how this is if you pick it up. No word of a release outside of Japan as of yet.

God, I hope none of them get dizzy from all the on screen action… oh wait, that only applies to FPS.

I think FPS in Japan means anything with a gun. Unless it has Final Fantasy or Biohazard(Resident Evil)in the title. Not to stereotype Japan.

Meh, lots of games have tons of action, FPS is uber-low compared to some real stuff…. Examples -
Rez – Trippiest game ever, I can get sick playing it sometimes.
Many rail shooters, non-fps, ones where your ships generally at the bottom of the screen and yer blastin away upwards and bajillions of dudes flyin around goin PEW PEW LASER!
Ok so thats about it, but still. =P

Geo: You have a good point. Japan is the land of “I don’t get it”. Maybe CheapyD does.

I don’t get it, and I don’t try to =P
By the way don’t get thinking I hate FPS, I like em, just hate the bad ones.
