During an interview with IGN on its upcoming XBLA title Boom Boom Rocket Ben Ward of Bizzare Creations revealed that originally they wanted Geometry Wars to be a gift for hardcore gamers. He felt Xbox Live Arcade wasn’t a way to make good profit but Microsoft insisted that they had to charge the minimum of $5 – 400 Microsoft Points. It would’ve been nice to have the content free but $5 wasn’t that much. Then again you could’ve spent it on today’s release of TMNT and have gotten Geometry Wars for free if that was the choice. You would’ve had $5 then you do now (almost everyone bought the game.) If you still haven’t played the game it is soon coming out free with the memory unit of 512 MB on April 3, 2007. Now if Boom Boom Rocket could be free that’d be nice.

I lost to many hours to count to GeoWars. Free would have been nice, but I think I got my money’s worth.

They should have put GeoWars on the HDD instead of that mind-numbing dull Hexic HD
