According to Xboxic the latest issue of EGM has a rumor stating that Dead Rising will take a page out of Crackdown by having the option to play co-op with people over Xbox Live put onto the platinum version of the game soon, and if you already have the game you’ll have to pay for it over Xbox Live Marketplace. Do you feel like killing more zombies with a friend at a price? I haven’t bought the copy and be glad to buy the title with the incentive, but then think about it. If you have it now you most likely paid $60 for it, so why do the people who only pay $30 get it free?

Simple, we already bought the game and they want more sales. If they sell it to us, they get more money. If they add it to the new one aswell, more people buy it, so even more money.

Nope, won’t be shelling out money for co-op. I’d use it if it was free, but I have crackdown co-op for my co-homicidal tendencies. Dead Rising is a great game, but not worth an additional fee.

Killin zombies with a buddy vs killing whatever non-zombies are in Crackdown.. Dead Risings wins narrowly via zombie dismemberment.
