Bethesda has confirmed today the Shivering Isles expansion pack is going to be released simultaneously in all regions on March 27th. The expansion pack Shivering Isles see your hero traveling into the realm of the daedra prince Sheogorath. While the steep $30 price has shocked some loyal fans they will be happy to know that it is confirmed to have 30-40 hours of gameplay along with 200 new weapons and 80 new pieces of armor along with numerous new monsters. If your are a fan of the game and don’t mind the $30 price tag then you should find yourself enjoying some Oblivion goodness for quite some time to come.

Unfortunately though Bethesda executive producer Todd Howard stated that Shivering Isles will be the last official expansion pack for the game; “perhaps another download or so, but other then that, we don’t have any plans to do another expansion after Shivering Isles.” hopefully this expansion pack will satisfy Oblivion fanboys for quite a while or until Oblivion 2 is released, here’s hoping.
