Ubisoft announces Tom Clancy’s EndWar

If your a Tom Clancy nut like I am, then get ready for another game in the Tom Clancy line of video games to come to “Next Generation” consoles. To be released in the fiscal 2007/2008, EndWar™ is to be the next franchise in the highly successful Tom Clancy line.

Set on the battle fields of World War III, EndWar™ is to be a war strategy game of the likes that haven’t been seen before.

“Our development teams are invigorated to be creating the first 100 percent next-generation Tom Clancy brand,” said Serge Hascoët, chief creative officer at Ubisoft. “Our success with Tom Clancy franchises is unparalleled in the next-generation and Tom Clancy’s EndWar will be a marvelous addition to the already critically acclaimed library of games. A strategy game like no other, EndWar will allow gamers to lead their own armies against hundreds of others online in real global locations on the massive battlefields of World War III.”

No much is known about this game as of yet, but the upcoming June issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly will have a world-exclusive, available on newsstands in North America on May 8, 2007.

So, what do you think? Next Tom Clancy gold mine or just one war game to many?

    Hmm.
    I doubt I’ll buy it.
I’m not to fond of Tom Clancy games.

I’d say its a gold mine. I have purchased every single Tom Clancy game except for an occasional Ghost Recon and I see no reason why this would not be a hit. I listened to the story line over and over and love it. I wish they would have given a more tentative date but there will be many games coming out later that will be able to hold me over until them. RTS are great but it almost sounds like a stretch for Tom Clancy, but who knows, everything they seem to touch/create turns to gold and I will definitely jump on board.
