As if Halo 3 wasn’t already talked about enough, comes this. Wired Editor Chris Anderson had dinner with Bungies Audio Director Marty O’Donnell a few years ago, yes, a few years ago. Nothing special there, but as it turns out a promise to be in Halo 3 was made. Of course, speeding things back up to today comes the time to collect on that promise.

Recently, this recording session was held at Bungie Studios.  Around 30 lines were read. That’s good and all, but what if that was you in his shoes? I’d definitely insist on recording “This….is……..Sparta”. That would be a fantastic Easter egg for one of the Marines to rarely say, if ever. When the game releases and it turns out that this line is in the game, I’ll be waiting for my paycheck Bungie. Just kidding.
