Microsoft’s Robbie Bach, president of the Entertainment and Devices Division, stated that the Xbox will begin to see profits in 2008. He says that for nine months ended March 31 Microsoft’s (EDD) has reported an operating loss of $693 million. Although, when he states that the Xbox will be profitable in 2008, he doesn’t mean that they will have recovered from the total amount of loss incurred rather they will be seeing positive net income, (revenues-costs). He quotes that xbox live currently has over 6 million members that’s about 60% of the people who own an Xbox 360. Then he goes on to talk about how Microsoft will continue to make profits from the Xbox system and how they will do so. Check out all the details by hitting the link.
