EA announces Need for Speed Prostreet

Another year comes around and you’ve guessed it, another Need for Speed game is in the works. This time around Electronic Arts brings Need For Speed ProStreet for every platform ever created. Well, not for every platform, but it is coming to the Xbox 360.

“Need for Speed ProStreet accelerates street racing culture by providing the ultimate stage for the pursuit of street racing supremacy,” said Executive Producer, Larry LaPierre. “This is a game about building the ultimate performance-tuned battle machine, taking it to multi-disciplinary showdowns all over the world and pitting your skills and reputation against the very best street racers.”

The game is being developed by EA Black Box in Vancouver, B.C., and is being readied for shipment fall 2007.

Coming next, NFS Wheelchair or Soapbox or Golf Cart. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of the NFS (sans Underground II). But it is time to give it a rest. By the photos, this looks like Underground III.

Ok, seriously they need gameplay videos to sell the game. not CGI.

I’m all for buying the game as I am racing fan. especially street racing and drift. But CGI isn’t going over well with me if the game is SUPPOSED to look like the CGI and we don’t get our money’s worth. EA and all other game makers: your on notice. GET IT RIGHT!

The last NFS I enjoyed was Hot Pursuit.

If anything, we need NFS Most Wanted 2. That game was the best NFS yet. Good thing Burnout Paradise is filling in the blanks.
