Today Activsion has announced that Guitar Hero: Rocks the 80’s is in the works after months of rumors has been circulating, so far the game has only been announced for the Playstation 2. Why am I mentioning a PS2 game on an Xbox blog you ask, well there has been talk of offering these packs as extra downloadable content. This would be ideal for the Live Marketplace, but since the controversy surrounding the price of the latest downloadable content for Guitar Hero 2, Red Octane might just reserve these titles for the upcoming Guitar Hero 3 slated to come out later this year. I don’t know if there is already a petition out there to get these songs released onto the 360 but I’m sure someone will be tempted to start one up.
Just so you know Guitar Hero: Rocks the 80’s will feature over 30 tracks including:
Twisted Sister — I Wanna Rock
Flock of Seagulls — I Ran
Ratt — Round and Round
Bow Wow Wow — I Want Candy
Quiet Riot — Metal Health
Dio — Holy Diver
Asia — Heat Of The Moment
