Rockstar announces Midnight Club: Los Angeles

If the upcoming Forza Motorsport 2 isn’t your style, and your willing to wait an eternity until early 2008 passing over Project Gotham Racing 4 in the process, then Rockstar San Diego’s next edition in the Midnight Club series might be the racer to float your boat. Announced as Midnight Club: Los Angeles for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, this will be the fourth game in the series to date.

“Midnight Club’s addictive blend of freedom, style and sheer sense of speed sets it apart from its competition,” said Sam Houser, Founder and Executive Producer of Rockstar Games. “With Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Rockstar San Diego looks to once again push the boundaries and expectations of what a racing game can be. Rockstar San Diego has always been the technology leader in delivering the ultimate racing experience, and with this game, they are looking to re-define the idea of a completely immersive racing game experience, both offline and online.”

As nice as it is to see yet another racing game come to the Xbox 360, it should make you wonder when one of these games is going to do something different ala the attempt by Test Drive Unlimited. Grand Raid Offroad, where are you?

I love racers, which makes the 30 such an easy choice :D I’ll get MC: LA, FM 2 and PGR 4.
