If anyone is wondering how smooth the transition was from board game to arcade game, we will do a full review of Catan shortly. We like to make sure the readers don’t rush into any purchases they might regret, so I am getting some quality play time in with this game to let you know if you should drop the 800 MSP or not.

The game is REALLY fun and a worthy placeholder for Monopoly. My only two gripes are that I can’t figure out how to make the 3D stuff (as seen in the pic above) show up, if it’s even in the game (the board is otherwise flat); and the text is SMALL. Other than those it’s fantastic.

I’ve been very intrested in this game, however all the online problems I have been hearing is really scaring me to get this title. Has it been bad for you guys?

you can make it 3D by going to settings and change the option on the very bottom so it goes from looking like a chess piece to a head. I haven’t been able to play online yet people ban me as soon as I get into a room.

Cool, found the 3D. I haven’t played online yet because I had no idea how to play. Now that I’m pretty good, I may give it a go… if it lets me.

I’m waiting on 800 points to get my fix of virtual Catan in, meant to pick the real game up at GenCon last year… but funds vanished once I got past the leather armor booth…
