Xbox Live Arcade is an opportunity for smaller game experiences to be had by the hardcore and the not so hardcore, but what about the opportunity to broaden even further with what should be called the non-game. Of course, something of the like’s of You Don’t Know Jack and other’s like it are usually called trivia games, but the aspect of videogame trivia is hardly a game at all anyway.
With the success of games like UNO, it already shows that games that aren’t exactly competitive can be just as engaging as the next. Many a person who has played UNO doesn’t play it to win, but to use it as a social tool instead.
The opportunity of having a trivia game added to XBLA is monumental. The resurgence of YDNJ began a little while ago, so why shouldn’t it continue onto XBLA? Popular aspects like Dis or Dat and the Jack Attack are bound to please even the most condescending video-game hater there is. There’s no learning curve, no complicated button presses, nor do you have to be good at it to enjoy yourself.
The kind folks at Microsoft say that there’s a back log of content lined up for XBLA. So, lets just hope that You don’t know Jack is one of them, because it’s prime for that downloabable content we all seem to love so much.

I would like to see games like these come out at a cheaper price. 400 MSP would be about right, although I believe there is a lot of profit to be had if they would release things like this at a lower maybe 200 MSP price tag. Let’s really get some micro transactions on the arcade, with some fun easy to play addictive games.

My girlfriend loves this game! I’d pay 2000 MSP for this when it comes out. Trivia games are rare nowadays. We definitely could use this on the Marketplace. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
