After 26 years, Pac-man is finally getting a real update in it’s classic 2d form. Announced at today’s Pac-man World Championship in New York, the game is to be released tomorrow (6/6/2007) onto the Xbox Live Arcade for 800 points.
Same old Pac-man you say? Nope, this time it’s all new maps and modes. What does this really mean? No more getting stuck at level 256 if you are that crazily good at Pac-man. Created in collaboration with Pac-man Creator Toru Iwatani, Namco Bandai and Microsoft will be releasing this game with the already available Pacman included with this new edition.
- New and unique features: The enhanced version now features constantly evolving mazes, a time limit, and six different game modes.
- Enhanced environments: Graphics and sound have been fully enhanced in this new version of the classic game.
- Fun challenges: You’ll have to practice hard and play well to conquer the increased gameplay speed! Remember, this is the Championship Edition so you know it will provide a good challenge.

small arms needs an update before i ever consider downlaoding DLC for it, they should spend more time fixing a game rather than extending a broken game….fun game though!

I actaully really enjoy this version of Pac-Man.
This 800 MSP in my account has been thrown aroudn all over the place as to what I will buy with it.
Its def. gonna be an XBLA game, just a matter of which one now.
