When XNA Game Studio and the now the released XNA Game Studio Express were released some few months ago it was initially seen as a platform for the common man to create his or her own game for the Xbox 360 and/or PC without the monstrous budget and staff that is needed for most of the games that we buy. Sometime later, we find ourselves pretty much in the same position as before. No game created with the XNA Studio Express package has come to the point of remotely making it to the Xbox Live Arcade proper, yet.
The recently released Aegis Wing on to the Xbox Live Arcade is definitely what many have hopes for as either a title to play or a title they plan to make themselves. Unfortunately for people just looking for new games to play that aren’t financed by a small fortune your out of luck. If your not a member of the XNA Creators club you don’t have access to many of the game’s that other amateur designers are creating. Luckily another promising title is in the works that just might fancy the RPG player out there.
Developed by Epochalyptic Entertainment, Curse is a Role Playing game with surprisingly good graphics and gameplay that’s reminiscent of Diablo. Curse isn’t exactly Mass Effect, but it’s definitely going in the right direction. The game is ready for download for free at Epochalyptic Entertainment’s website. A Trailer of Curse is below.
