Exclusivity was a rare thing back in the initial time of the Xbox. Sure, it had a few from it’s first party developers, but nothing really from 3rd parties. There was Splinter Cell for a little while, but that didn’t last long even if the other versions where clearly inferior. Now, the tables have turned.
The next edition in the long running Castlevania Series is possibly making its way over to the Xbox 360 and only the Xbox 360 for at least its first go around on the next/current gen.
“The U.S. market is the biggest market for the Castlevania series, so I will give the first priority to the U.S. market. The platform will be the Xbox 360, since the PS3 isn’t doing well everywhere in the world,” he explained to Game Informer.
This may not seem like fantastic news to some if they remember the last few attempts at a 3D Castlevania in the past, but overall for the Xbox 360 platform the more the merrier. If there are Castlevania fan’s out there that have not already bought a Xbox 360, then this alone just might make that purchasing decision that much more easy.
