Awards for various industry’s come around at different times of the year. Then there are the awards run by a publication or website that gets voted on by the viewers and/or readers. This time around it the UK’s T3 magazine readers awards where the Xbox 360 is named best console. The Xbox 360 bests the likes of Sony’s PSP and Nintendo’s DS Lite.
While this doesn’t ultimately mean anything, it does point to the fact that consumers are pleased with there Xbox 360 purchase. After all, that’s all everyone wants. More 360 owners to sell to for Microsoft and its 3rd party publishers and more people for “the community” to frag into the wee hours of the morning.

note that this is only consoles. If it weren't for the Wii, I'd have all Nintendo consoles except for it in here. And I calculate that half of the people who have a PS3 are unhappy with it. that's 2 million. EVERYBODY Is happy with their Wii, whether or not they think it's good. Super Mario Galaxy, to shut 'em up. Oh, and I bet like 5 million people wish they had Wii instead of 360. Ok, back to SMG.
