It was one of the only sore spots that came with a purchase of Bioshock, the 4:3 widescreen cropping issue. If you were playing the game in widescreen, you were essentially viewing a cropped down view from the 4:3 aspect ratio. What’s the big deal lots of people asked? You were pretty much being cheated out of a good portion of the viewable screen real estate that you would expect to be seeing, hence why you would play the game in a wide screen aspect ratio, which is what all HD resolutions are in.
Courtesy of videogamer.com, are these comparison screenshots of the difference between the way it used to be versus the way it is after today’s title update. Bare in mind that you have to turn it on in the pause menu to get the fix for this minor annoyance.
