COD4aholics everywhere where waiting for the announcement, and now it has finally come. More maps for Call of Duty 4 are on the way.
“We’ve demonstrated our commitment to delivering the best multiplayer experience in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and that continues with our plans for new downloadable content,” explains Infinity Ward’s Community Manager, Robert Bowling aka Fourzerotwo. “We’re excited about the new maps, and the added gameplay variety, and we can’t wait to wrap things up and get online with everyone.”
In a complete coincidence of epic proportions stemming from Rant Central: #3, this news is very timely.

I don’t expect them to release these for free, but I think if they did (maybe release only 3 or 4 new maps) they would be a big hit in the fans eyes and I think a lot of people would switch from playing Halo and convert. I’m know Infinity Ward likes to please its fans and what better way. Although, I wouldn’t blame or hate them for charging for them like they most probably will.
