When the Call of Duty 4 Variety Map pack was finally released onto the Xbox Live Marketplace it was surely going to be a strain on the Xbox Live service anyway you look at it. After the events of this passed holiday season as regards to Xbox Live not exactly preforming up to snuff, some could say that it’s a little surprising to see that Xbox Live is upon yet another snafu. To the contrary though, the service status notice on the support page for Xbox Live is as of this writing “up and running”.
Since not all of us have access to Xbox Live at all times like myself ( like when your not home), reports of Xbox Live having issues again have sprung up with much of the speculative focus being on the reelase of COD 4’s new content. Major Nelson has acknowledged the issues by “twittering” about the awareness of the possible problems.
Sure all of this is fine and dandy but the real question is how widespread is this? Anyone here have or having problems with Xbox Live?

Yeah, I just downloaded the update today. Now my games (NBA 2k8 and COD 4) freeze within the first 2 minutes of the game. Oh happy day, I get to talk to Xbox “customer service”!! THIS SUCKS!!!!!
