Gears of War 2 and Halo 3 are mainstays on Xbox Live, but that doesn’t mean they don’t need a shot in the arm in the way of new content. If more DLC is what you’ve been waiting for, more DLC is what you’re going to get. It was already known these two packs were coming, nevertheless they should be welcomed with open arms.

Gears of War 2 will be graced with the SnowBlind Map Pack on March, 31st, 2009. Coming in at 800 MS points, it’ll expand the mulitplayer map count of Gears 2 by four all with a winter theme. The four maps consist of Grindyard, Under Hill, Courtyard and Gears of War favorite Fuel Depot. Accompanying this will be a title update as well.

Halo 3’s new Mythic Map pack will be made available on the Xbox Live Marketplace on April 9th, 2009. As of now you can only get your hands on this map pack by buying the Collector’s Edition of Halo Wars. The usual 800 MS points is what the Mythic map pack will set you back.
