I MAED A GAM3 W1TH ZOMBIES 1N IT!!!1 is the latest edition to the list of games created by Jamezila (James Silva). Released on August 16th, this game has grown popular in the Indie Game scene. It has been played by many and loved by all, myself included. He is also the creator of the classic, Dishwasher: Dead Samurai. And for only 80 MSP, $1, how could you pass this up?
This game has simple controls, the left thumb-stick is used to move your character while the right is used to shoot, much like Geometry Wars. Throughout the levels of this game, you are faced with many different baddies. From the regular zombies, to square skulls, this game is fast paced and keeps you deep in the action. The levels each are unique, whether it be the ground you walk on, or the intensity of the strobe lights coming at you from every angle. This game is sure to be played over and over. It also includes a 4 player co-op, only on the same console (sorry guys).
There are a few weapon power-ups in this game, each helping in a different situation. You have a choice of weaponry varying from a super fast machine gun, a missile launcher, shotgun, and even a laser! Now, some are not as convenient as others, but each is helpful none the less. As well as weapon power-ups, you can also pick up health. This gives you one extra life to use as you continue through the game, and picking them up will help you beat that high score.
Now, what stands out in this game the most, has to be its unique soundtrack. According to James, he created this himself and is the masterful voice you hear throughout the game, which gives added pleasure. The songs in this are not like most game, these are very comical and are sure to have you laughing during your rampage against the zombies as long as you pay attention to the words.
All in all, I’d say this game is a masterpiece among the Indie Games, and like I said, for just $1, it is a must have for any LIVE member looking to take a break from those mainstream games, and see what this community has to offer.
