While the Spike Video Game Awards might not be the biggest event of the year, it is one of the biggest television events dedicated exclusively to video games. Xbox 360 exclusive Halo 3: ODST garnered many nominations and the subject of TXD’s upcoming community night, Left 4 Dead 2, is up for Game of the Year.

The category that we here at TheXboxDomain.com will be keeping our eyes on will obviously be the “Best Xbox 360 Game”, which pits Batman: Arkham Asylum, Forza Motorsport 3, Halo 3: ODST and Left 4 Dead 2 against each other.

In addition to the awards, Spike will also premier a number of big titles alongside their trailers. Titles such as UFC Undisputed 2010, Crackdown 2, Halo: Reach, and several mystery titles are slated to make their world premieres.

The Spike Video Game Awards air live at 8 p.m. EST on Spike TV and will feature several celebrity guests such as Hugh Jackman (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Zachary Quinto (Heroes and Star Trek), and Jack Black (Brutal Legend).
