A Microsoft spokesperson has recently told Gamasutra that former Casual Games executive Bryan Trussel as they search for a new replacement. As the acting Live Arcade group manager he oversees the management of Live Arcade, as well as, MSN Games and Windows Live Messenger Games.
“Microsoft representatives note that Trussel is being promoted from his former role as group manager for ‘expanding platforms’ in the Microsoft Casual Games group, where he was responsible for bringing ‘the casual gaming experience to new platforms and devices.”
Trussel have been an integral part of the XBLA scene and has worked on projects over the last 5 years including: development of Windows 3.0, Windows CE, Sega Dreamcast, and games including Age of Mythology and Hexic. With his extensive background Trussel seems a good fit until they can find a more permanent replacement.

Excellent, new blood in the water means fresh meat to feast on. I hope this guy’s fresh view on XBLA boosts its viability as a profitable business model and we benefit as a result.
