Everyone’s good buddies up in Redmond, Washington have been touting there “tri-fecta” of game’s this fall. Halo 3 of course, Madden 2008, and Grand Theft Auto 4. Unfortunately for them that 3rd title has fallen upon hard times and has been delayed until Take Two’s second fiscal quarter of 2008. Obviously Microsoft was hoping to sell Xbox 360′s along with the millions of copies of GTA 4 that are sure to be sold, but what are they to do now?
According to Take-Two Chairman Strauss Zelnick, “certain elements of development proved to be more time-intensive than expected.” Words Microsoft didn’t want to hear for sure, but all is not lost for gamers. Now that this has come out, maybe all of the penny pinching between the slew of games still on slate for this fall have become slightly more affordable. Anyway you look at this, Halo 3 has a much larger load to carry right about now.
