Remember, remember, the 22nd of November? No, not the official October launch day of Windows 7, but the launch day of the Xbox 360 back in 2005. Tech Journalist everywhere have been having a bit of a laugh and a good time with the notion of having a Windows party for Windows 7 as if it’s a new thing for Microsoft to do. Assuming that you were around for the Xbox 360 bonanza that occurred back then, the Xbox too was in the have a launch party business via the geeks best friend, Mountain Dew.

As seen in the below postcard that came in a package (of many) much the same as those who were chosen to get a care package for their Windows 7 “Party” Mountain Dew’s ‘Every Ten Minutes‘ promotion was accompanied by a party as well, if you happen to win an Xbox 360 from them. Luckily for myself I was one of those lucky few thousand.
So, not so fast tech enthusiast’s. If you paid attention to the gaming industry better you may have noticed that Microsoft is much bigger than just Windows and a token Zune joke here and there. Not that I’m accusing anyone of anything.
