Anyone who's had any kind of time on Xbox Live or any other online activity that includes the use of a microphone can attest to the high chance of you running into idiocracy or just plain racism. Whether you take it seriously or just shrug it off in an attempt to ignore it, one thing is for certain, racism exist everywhere whether you choose to see it or not. Surely, this thing we enjoy called vi... more.

It’s good to be independent “2″

Update 3 of sorts to- It's good to be independent. Seeing that Thrills beat me to it, I'll add a few thoughts of mine to this in its own post. I wanted to write a novel, but I think I'll keep it short and sweet. As unconfirmed as this is and may stay for the foreseeable future, when it comes down to it Jeff Gerstmann is no longer employed by Gamespot. Not a big deal for most, but this writer has... more.

On this day of giving thanks( for those who apply) , I'd like to give thanks to the Xbox team up in Redmond, Washington for being the initial spark for the very existence of such a site as The Xbox Domain. Yes, Xbox Live is nothing less than fantastic, but lets move beyond that of which is immediately obvious coming from a Xbox focused site. Coming off of what can only be described as a blitz of... more.

In the Microsoft and Parent Teacher Association (PTA) ‘Safety is no game". Is your family set?’ campaign, the goal is to educate people on family settings. In a announcement by Robbie Bach, the Xbox 360 is to receive a "Family Timer" option. "As a leader in interactive entertainment, it's Microsoft's responsibility to provide parents with tools they can use to manage their children's video ga... more.

The DLC Catch 22

When this generation was just a twinkle in all gamers eye's, the nice little phrase "micro payments" were being thrown around like it was going to be the next best thing since sliced bread. Clichés and all, our good friend "velocity girl"was going to be on the cutting edge with her t-shirt sales on Xbox Live. Dreams of selling user created goods on Xbox Live sounded so great. The way to look at ... more.

What’s wrong with Microsoft Game Studios?

Over the last few six months of so, the world of Xbox has seen quite a few changes. Need a refresher? Here it is: Microsoft announces a very necessary monstrous financial hit in a effort to once again "enhance" its warranty services for the Xbox 360 to combat an ever escalating rise in "red ring of death" issues. Robbie Bach just so happens to sell some of his stock just before the warranty ne... more.

So long Gears of War, we hardly knew ye!

For nearly every week since its release (every week except one to be exact) Gears of War has ruled the haloed ( pun semi-intended) proverbial virtual halls of Xbox Live. It's found itself in my 360's DVD drive time after time, even with the thought of more than likely playing with a little kid who hasn't gone through puberty yet. All games suffer from this in some way, but now that the infamous H... more.

Broadening the world of gaming out to the people who don't already know the joys of gaming has been a much talked about topic over the past year and change. A gigantic catalyst of this most definitely is the Nintendo Wii. Sadly, this isn't a Xbox 360 only world, but if you thought it was get over it! As Xbox 360 owners, users, or enthusiast as some would say, we can't deny the fact that Nintendo... more.

Bioshock gets dissed again, sort of

" Bioshock on the brain" continues..... Just as now Bungie employee Luke Smith and EGM Editor in Chief Dan Shu have hailed from the great state (boring to some) of Michigan at some time and/or in some form (UofM) or fashion, I to find myself in a similar situation. Not having much to do with that, the local (for me) Detroit Free Press has thrown there grubby little hands into the Bioshock fire wi... more.

Halo 3: How will it all end?

With the release of Halo 3 coming ever so closely (September 25th), it's time to think about how the hell this thing is going to end. Of course, Bungie is holding the ending of Halo 3 above a burning fire as to roast any leak attempts. However, Bungie employees like Frank O'Connor have already teased fan's with mention of there dozens upon dozens of play throughs of the Halo 3 campaign on ... more.
